The HOME ALONE 25th Anniversary DVD Makes Us Feel Old – GeekMundo

There’s nothing like being reminded that your childhood favorites, forever immortalized in your mind in their prime, are in fact, getting old.  This year is the 25th anniversary of Home Alone, the holiday movie classic about really shitty parents and extended family.  To commemorate this grand event, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is releasing an ultimate collector’s edition Blu-ray and DVD pack for all you die-hard fans.

The pack features a toy tarantula (remember that little bastard running roughshod all over the damn house?), Kevin McAllister’s (Macaulay Culkin) clever little blueprint for his plan to thwart the robbers (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) trying to get into his house, and other memorabilia, plus all five Home Alone movies… Which, let’s face it, you probably don’t care about because they stopped being good after the second one.

You know who is probably taking this the hardest?  Macaulay Culkin.  Every year they roll out the movie, and now they just had to remind all of us who watched it when it first came out as kids that even the movie is as old as we are… Happy freakin’ Monday!  Oh, and you can pick up the Blu-ray/DVD pack on October 6th because it’s never too early to watch Christmas movies… Kind of.
