Crackle's SPORTS JEOPARDY! Season 1 Finale Game Goes Down Today – GeekMundo

I had no idea Jeopardy had a sports version streaming online via Crackle, but then again, I don’t think I’m the target demographic.  For those of you who’ve been riding with the series from day one, the season finale game is available today for you to stream–and you can catch up with the entire first season–so log on to see who’ll win 50K.

The Sports Jeopardy! Championship, a two-episode event featuring the top players from the show’s first season battling to see whose sports knowledge reigns supreme, will conclude Wednesday, September 16 on Crackle. Sports Jeopardy! is hosted by Emmy® Award-winning sportscaster Dan Patrick, who recently announced his return for Season 2 of the weekly live game show series.

The winner will take home the grand prize of $50,000; the second-place finisher wins $25,000 and third place claims $10,000. The three contestants set to compete earned the highest point totals during regular season play. They are:

  • Steve Greene, a writer from Van Nuys, Calif.
  • Nathaniel Marks, an actuary from West Hills, Calif.
  • Justin Shibilksi, a senior manager at FedEx Ground from Aurora, Ill.

The player with the highest cumulative score at the end of the second game wins and is named the first-ever Sports Jeopardy! Season Champion.

Sports Jeopardy! allows for a unique level of interactivity as viewers can download the free mobile game, available on  iOS, Google Play, and Amazon,  which interacts with the show as a second screen application.

The second season of Sports Jeopardy! will begin streaming all-new episodes on September 23.  New episodes will debut every Wednesday at 9 am EST, and will also be available on demand year round with a total of 52 episodes each year.

Man, if they’ve got some wrestling trivia, I’m totally there, but I’d really be amped up for Geek Jeopardy…  I can see it now!  “Alex, I’ll take Rat Queens for $400…”
